First Friday | Starting June 2nd

Dating back to 1991, First Friday brings together the neighborhood to empower the local arts scene. Mingle with like-minded art lovers and enjoy art exhibits, food and drink specials, live music, and shop exclusive sales. This year’s events will run on the First Friday of every month starting June 2nd.

 

Summerfest at the Waterfront | Now – September 24

Head down to the Waterfront for Summerfest! Featuring roller skating at the largest outdoor roller rink in Philly, boardwalk games and rides including their 60-foot-tall Ferris wheel, double-decker carousel, and 9-hole miniature golf course. Indulge in your favorite carnival food such as funnel cake, fried Oreos, crab fries, and more! –

 

Rothman Orthopedics Roller Rink | Now- July 16

Show off your skating skills at Rothman Orthopedics Roller Rink in Dilworth Park! Open until July 16, this colorful, retro-inspired roller rink brings old-school fun to historic City Hall. Their vibrant checkerboard floor also features an overhead art installation designed and made by Philadelphia’s Lucky Dog Studio.

Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival | June 21- August 13

See Franklin Square surrounded in lights during the Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival. From June 21-August 13, this summer festival is a must see for residents and visitors since 2016. View handcrafted lanterns of dragons, tigers, rabbits, and more that were designed by lantern artisans from China.

July 4th Events

Celebrate the 4th of July with Wawa! Catch the Independence Day Parade starting at 11 AM on 2nd and Market Streets, traveling west towards City Hall. End the evening by watching fireworks at the Benjamin Franklin Parkway on the 4th of July courtesy of Wawa’s Welcome America Celebration!-
